On Wednesday we drove out to Polihale. The scenery here is breathtaking and the pictures do not do it justice. This is basically the end of the road and on the other side of these cliffs is the Napali Coast which is only accessible by boat.
You have to drive on an old cane road that is full of potholes and bumps to get here. The kids loved the road and thought it was great 4-wheeling. :)
The waves here can be pounding, but the sand is soft like powdered sugar. If you look at the horizon you can see the island of Niihau.
The kids loved playing in the sand here. It was heavenly to put your feet in.
Look who's standing all by himself! He is taking a few more steps now, but will still drop down and do a fast crawl if he wants to go somewhere.

Ryder was a crazy sandcastle destroyer. As soon as the girls tipped over a bucket of sand he was jumping on it!
