My grandpa always had a kind word to say, always polite, always positive, always genuinely interested in what you were doing and what you had to say. He is the nicest, most gentle man I know. I am so glad that he is my grandpa.

Whiskery kisses and hugs every time you walked in or out of the door. Where's Grandpa? Downstairs with his "computer crap". Old computers with punched ticker tape in the basement. Letting us type on all those old typewriter computers where Paul fabricated his "Dear Old Lady" letters. All kinds of machinery and tools in the basement we were not supposed to touch. Finding Grandpa in the basement at Hayes Brothers Buick. Christmas parties with them at Hayes Brothers. Baked potatoes in the microwave. His love for butter on everything. Extra marshmallows on his cereal. Postum.

Birthdays and holidays with Grandma and Grandpa. Looking forward to birthday dollars and birthday bread. Grandpa's genealogy program on the computer. Going to Provo Cemetary on Memorial Day. Being at my baptism, high school graduation, BYU graduation, wedding. Taking me to see Grandpa Schoenfeld. Going grocery shopping at Harmon's for Grandpa Schoenfeld and buying orange rolls.

Staying with Grandma and Grandpa and sleeping in the extra bedroom. Watching the Sunday afternoon session of General Conference at Grandma and Grandpa's. Playing tennis and going swimming at the condominium. Moving from the duplex to the condominium. Ready laugh. Serving their mission. Grandma and Grandpa's 50th wedding anniversary. Stories of Grandpa wooing Grandma at the dentist's office. Grandpa's love and care for Grandma. Inseparable. Unconditional. Unwavering.
