Standing up!

Our little cutie is growing up fast!  She waves bye-bye and just started shaking her head no!

 

We've been teaching her some sign language and she can sign thank you!

 

And now she is standing up...

 

...all by herself!

 

So excited!  It won't be long now before she is walking all over the place.

Thanksgiving...

This year we cooked and enjoyed a delicious dinner.  Well, the adults and Kendyl enjoyed a nice dinner.  The rest of the kids complained the entire time.

 

 

It is nice to relax and spend the day together, watching the parade and football and cooking.

 

Grandpa Jerry drove down for the holiday.

 

Doing the "Turkey Tango".  Brityn learned this dance last year in her school class and the kids loved it so much I think it will be an annual performance.  :)

Dino museum field trip...

Ryder's preschool went on a field trip to the Dino Museum on Monday.  We tagged along, because we love the dinos!

 

 

Grandpa Jerry came a few days early for Thanksgiving and came with us.

 

After the tour, (we had a fantastic guide) we headed to the park next door to play.

Fun field trip to the dino museum, except for the parts when Sawyer refused to walk any more, Ryder wouldn't share and take a turn, and a boy from preschool fell and broke his arm!  Exciting nonetheless!

 

Candy, candy, candy...

This was Steve's 3rd year doing a Halloween candy buy back at the office.  He got almost double the amount of candy as he did last year. 

 

Seriously, like 140 lbs. of candy!

 

This year, we also added a small hygiene kit and packs of card games.

 

And filled 30 boxes!

 

Brityn and I packed all the boxes and poor Steve got to fill out 30 customs forms!

We sure do appreciate our military and their families for their service and sacrifice.  And a big thank you to all of the patients and friends who donated candy and wrote thank you notes!

Science fair...

This was Kendyl's first time (and our first time) doing a science fair project.  She tested different mouthwashes to see which one's minty freshness lasted the longest.  It took us several days to test the 5 different mouthwashes, since we were her test subjects, and collect all the data.  Then she had to write and type up her report, complete with graphs AND do a poster with pictures and info.  She presented her project in class and I thought we were all done, but no, she was 1 of 5 kids who were picked from her class to go to the actual science fair with judges.  So she got to set up for the science fair and present for the judges.  No win, but a positive experience for her!  Seriously though, these 5th grade projects and book reports are killing me!  And in case you were curious, Smart Mouth has the longest lasting minty fresh breath.  :)

Fire Station Field Trip...

On Friday, Ryder's preschool class got to visit the fire station and we tagged along for the tour.  The firemen were out on a call when we got there, and as soon as they started the tour they got another call!  Fortunately one stayed behind and showed the kids around the station.

When the firemen returned we got to see all the cool stuff on their truck and then they let all the kids climb up inside.

Halloween...

Halloween was full of parties and costumes.  Ryder got to wear his Samurai Power Ranger costume to preschool.

 

 

The girls got to take their costumes to school for their parties as well.
