I love to see the temple...

The temple looked so beautiful all lit up!  I couldn't resist a picture.  :)

Bowling...

Sawyer's morning preschool went bowling for our January field trip.  It was lots of fun and the kids did great!

Leightyn even bowled and caught on quickly how to roll the ball down the ramp.

Getting the ball set-up.

Give it a good push.

And off it goes!

Everyone did great and there were no melt downs.

Best part was they only charged us $2 a line and no shoe charge because it was just the kids who bowled!

Tepanyaki...

A few months ago we passed Benihana's and thought that would be a fun place to take the kids.  But we didn't want to drag them down to the strip, so we found a little Tepanyaki restaurant in Summerlin and gave it a try.

The kids had no clue what was going to happen and were really apprehensive and shy during the whole "cooking entertainment" portion.

The chef cooked our fried rice, veggies, steak and chicken right in front of us.  Tossing eggs, lighting oil on fire and making an onion volcano and then setting it on fire were some of the highlights.

Then he tossed the shrimp in the air and Steve caught it in his mouth...now we're talking impressive!

Once the show was over, the kids were totally watching the chefs at the other tables and ooohing and aaahhing.  And they love to tell everyone how the chef made fire and tossed eggs into his hat.

Very fun, but pricey dining experience.  :)

15x15...

Ok Sarah and Kellie, I am trying to document everyday life and I love your 12x12 posts!  As you can see, I'm already behind cause I forgot until today, the 15th!  So you get 15 pictures, but at least I did it.  :)

Mornings are a little hectic at our house.  Steve takes Kendyl to middle school on his way to work, so they are out the door first.  Brityn and Ryder go out the door next at 8am for elementary school.  It's a good morning if they are ready and waiting, having brushed teeth, practiced piano (and violin for Brityn) and have shoes and jacket on.  :)  Waiting for the carpool ride to pick up for school.

Leightyn likes to go outside to wave goodbye when the kids leave.  :)

It is Wednesday so Sawyer does not have preschool, but his teacher Miss Andrea always sends home games or homework to work on.

And these guys like to watch Paw Patrol, Jake or Dora in the mornings.

We headed to the jewelry store to drop off my ring to get the prongs tightened.

These guys do pretty good in the car if they can watch a movie.

Then we headed home for lunch and short naps.

Because we had to head to the school to pick up Kendyl.

And pick up a prescription at Walgreens.  We waited for Brityn and Ryder to get home and then it was off to swim team practice.

Ryder works on homework...

...while Brityn is in the pool.

Then we run home for dinner before it is Kendyl's turn for swim team practice.

Brityn added a few more goals to her can after homework and a shower.

And Kendyl lost a tooth after swim practice and a shower.

And finally it's time for books, prayers and bed!

Tennis anyone?

We had to get out and enjoy this gorgeous weather.  Oh how we miss our Saturday morning tennis with Coach Mark and Coach Gwen!

New Year's Day...

The kids worked on our annual New Year's Eve puzzle.

They worked off and on all night and all the next day.  :)

Kennedy got to go to our stake dance here and had a fun time even though she didn't know anyone.

Someone didn't quite make it to midnight.  :)

Working on it some more...

And finished it the next morning with Aunt Kaylene's help!  It was a fun Christmas break.  Thanks to Aunt Kaylene, Uncle Todd, Kennedy and Ethan for staying to celebrate the new year with us!
