Pioneer Days...

I totally forgot my camera for pioneer days and Kendyl had a swim meet that afternoon so Steve took the rest of the kids to our stake pioneer day festivities.  He was brave and we met up after the meet to enjoy some of the food, booths and fireworks!

I only managed to take a few pics with my phone while we were waiting for the fireworks.

We did have a fun visit with Alisa and Taylor for the weekend too and they made it just in time for the fireworks!  The girls love when Alisa comes and they get to do nails and girl stuff.  The boys loved Taylor and stuck to him like glue.  We're so happy that these two will be tying the knot in October!

Jumping fun...

I scored some coupons for Flip N Out online so we headed over to use some of them.  The kids LOVE jumping and playing here.

They even had a section blocked off for little jumpers!

And Leightyn is always happy to tag along.  It won't be long before she's out there jumping too!

The kids love to sit and pretend to play all the video games.  I say pretend, because I'm not about to put any money in them.

Summer fun!

Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming...

We've been spending the summer at the pool again.  This year we moved to the Y and I have to say the indoor pool is a wonderful improvement over sitting in the heat!  Ryder and Brityn had swim lessons at the same time as Kendyl had swim team practice, so in 1 hour all three kids were done!

Ryder did great this year and was floating and kicking and jumping in all by himself!

Brityn worked hard learning all the swim strokes and was able to swim the length of the pool!

Kendyl has been really happy on the YMCA swim team and has become an excellent swimmer.  She competed in 3 swim meets this summer and scored several ribbons including a 1st place for 50 Butterfly.  She has been inspired by watching all the olympic swimmers!

Go team Hardy!

Canoe trip down the Colorado River...

Steve went with the young men on a high adventure trip canoeing down the Colorado River.  They left early Thursday morning and came home Saturday afternoon.

Steve cliff jumping.

Casualties of cliff jumping.

They had a fun time and I survived a long weekend with 5 sick kids.  Where is the fairness in that?

Happy 4th...

Steve has always felt like we'd have the best view of the city from the top of his office building.  Now that he has roof access in his new office, we put that theory to the test.  So Tuesday night we climbed up to the roof to watch the fireworks from Seastrand Park.  The kids were THRILLED to be allowed up on the roof and Kendyl tried out her new earphones.  Seriously, we were too far away to really need them, but she was excited to test them out.

We stayed home on Wednesday and watched movies and coughed and played bocce ball and coughed and played croquet and coughed and barbequed and coughed.  I apologize to all for not being more social this holiday, but with 6 of us coughing I am sure you are happier not coughing yourself by now.

First 4th of July for this cutie!

We headed outside to light off a few fireworks and throw poppers and do sparklers.  Leightyn did great and wasn't bothered at all by the big booms.  And seriously our neighbors all seemed to have big time fireworks.

We had so many shows going in our neighborhood, it was hard to see everything!  It was way better than any park or even Disneyland since it went on for 2+ hours!

It was awesome to just sit in our driveway and enjoy the fireworks!  Happy 4th of July!!!!
