Happy Birthday Ryder!

Ryder's birthday was a school day, so it was a quick morning and off to school.  He took chocolate chip cookies for his birthday treat for his class.

We did let him open one birthday present before heading off to school.

It was a fart blaster from Despicable Me 2 and has been the biggest hit with all the kids, Steve included.  :)

He now has his own clock so he knows what time it is and when to get in and out of bed.  :)

The younger kids were very excited to play with Ryder's new toys.

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for the birthday money!

She laughed every time she pushed that button.  :)

Thank you Tutu and Papa Jack for the cool Batman ship and birthday money.

Thank you Aunt Margaret and Uncle Dono for the giftcard!  He can't wait to go spend it.  :)

Thank you Grandpa Jerry for the birthday money and card.  The kids were all laughing that your picture was on the inside of the card instead of the back!

Thank you Aunt Kaylene and Uncle Todd for the fun crash car and game!

He had a lot of fun celebrating and playing with his new stuff.  Happy Birthday Ryder!!!  We love you!!!

Ryder is 6...

Ryder turns 6 today!  It's hard to believe how much he's grown this year.  He graduated from preschool, got glasses, started all day kindergarten, took swimming lessons, played tennis, reads a ton, is taking piano lessons, is great at math and is super smart!  He has a ton of friends and loves school.  He is still a picky eater, but has survived taking a lunch everyday to school.  He likes to play outside, throw or kick any kind of ball, swing, play wii, his ds and his leap pad.  He is a helpful brother, when it is his idea, and is always quick to give a hug.  He is also writes the best notes to leave on our pillows.  We love you Ryder!!!

Celebrating at Chuck E. Cheese...

Ryder wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese for his birthday so we went on Friday when the kids only had a half day of school.  It is so much nicer to go when it is not crowded and so much easier than going on a school night.  :)

The kids were in heaven playing games with their tokens.

Leightyn did fine until she spotted Chuck E. Cheese walking around.  Then she went into panic mode.  I seriously don't think she would survive Disneyland at this stage.

Once Chuck E. was gone she cautiously went and played a few games.

It was a really fun afternoon and everyone had a blast...especially the birthday boy!
