With just Kendyl and Brityn our house was full of
pink clothes, blankets, walls, girl toys, dolls, barbies, ponies. When Ryder came along, it was a whole new world of
boy toys, and as time has passed the last two years, we've acquired more
blue, cars, balls, dinosaurs, trains, tools, etc.
A few months ago Ryder started to refuse drinking out of a pink girly cup. His words were,
"That's too girly!" So no problem, we bought a few blue cups and those are HIS. Do not attempt to even put a pink cup at his spot because he will not use it. Along with the cups came his frequent declaration of "That's too girly!" to
anything with pink, ponies, dolls, barbies, or "girl stuff"! Valentine's day was pure torture to the kid because everything was pink, red or flowery! :)

He
loves his dinosaurs, cars, tools, blocks, legos, building, creating, destroying, crashing, complete with sound effects.

Everything he wears must be rough, tough and thoroughly boy. His Superman shirt is his favorite!

He only wants to listen to boy songs (meaning a boy must be singing) in the car. And won't watch any tv shows that do not have boys or boy stuff in it.

For Christmas he got a "boy" leapster, because there was no way he was playing the pink one! So we seem to be acquiring more blue boy stuff at our house to balance out all the girl stuff. This makes Steve, Sawyer and Ryder very happy.

On a cute side story...when we were reading scriptures a couple of nights ago, Ryder was reciting his verse and when he said the word "sword" it came complete with a swinging, stabbing motion and a "whooshing" sound effect! :) We were all laughing!
