Fish feeding frenzy...

Steve has some crazy fish in his tank at the office.  They always get excited when it's feeding time.  They have surprised Steve by jumping up out of the water trying to get at the food.  He may or may not have dropped fish food all over himself when he's jerked his hand out of the way.  ;-)

These pictures don't do justice to the frenzy in the tank.  Crazy fish!

Fish food or fish bait?

Taking cover.

Those crazy fish!  I'm not sticking my hand any where near the top of the tank!

New glasses...

After having her first eye exam with Uncle Ryan, this cutie needed some glasses.  Turns out she needs some correction in one eye.

She's been really good about wearing them and keeping them on.  Cute girl!

Ice bucket challenge...

So one of the young men in our ward challenged the bishopric to do the ALS ice bucket challenge.

Challenge Accepted!

Of course, they couldn't just do it with a normal "bucket".

Devin Zohner, the executive secretary, Eric McClellan, 2nd counselor, Steve, the bishop, and Charlie Concoby, 1st counselor.

In their suits too!

Poor Brother Zohner almost got washed away in the flood!  Great fun for a great cause and we donated too!

First day of school...

The charter school our kids attend opened up a new campus closer to our house.  We knew quite a few kids and teachers and the elementary school principal who were transferring so it still felt familiar, even though it was a brand new school building.

Middle school/high school carpool drop off.

The principal, Mr. Phillips is awesome!

Brityn's teacher for 4th grade is Mrs. Cruz.  She has quite a few kids in her class from our ward and stake so she's got lots of friends.

Ryder's teacher for 1st grade is Ms. Sowers and we know her from Scott and NLV.  She's wonderful!

So excited to be in the new school building.  Brityn is especially excited because her classroom is upstairs.  :)

Have a great first day of school!

Seizure #2...

Saturday, August 23rd, Ryder had his second seizure.  We skipped the ambulance ride this time and took him into the ER ourselves.  This time they did the whole round of testing which all came back normal.  They did start him on some medication and we are waiting to see the neurologist.

Again, he was a trooper, calm and cooperative for the doctors and nurses.

He and Dad got to have a date of their own at one of Ryder's favorite places.  For being a picky eater, he LOVES orange chicken and chow mein at Panda Express.  :)

Gone bowling...

Trying to squeeze the last bit of fun into summer before school starts, we headed over to Texas Station to do a little bowling.

Leightyn had a great time bowling with the ramp.

And everyone was a good sport.

Thanks for coming with us Ashley!  She out-bowled us all!

Summer fun at the bowling alley!

And the boys had their turn going shopping for school supplies and having a date with Mom.  Good times!

Eye doctor...

We had our annual eye appointment with Uncle Ryan.  He has some fun glasses in his office.  :)
