Star of the week...

Brityn was the Star of the Week in her kindergarten class last week. She was so excited to have her turn as the "Star" of her class. She did an interview with her teacher about her favorite things, brought a show and tell, sang her favorite songs, brought in pictures, read her favorite story, she got to be the first person in line all week and sat at a special desk. These are the pictures she took to hang on the Star of the Week bulletin board.

Fall fun...

Since the girls were out of school and Steve had the day off last Friday, we headed to St. George to enjoy the day together. We got in some shopping at the outlet mall and lunch at Brick Oven Pizza and then went over to Staheli Farm.

The kids were far more impressed with this farm and pumpkin patch than what we've found locally, so this might become an annual trip. The downside is that they charged admission, but it made for a very fun day.


They had all kinds of games and fun things for the kids to do and play on and in. The girls REALLY enjoyed jumping on the "redneck trampoline" aka mattresses since jumping on the bed at home is a big No-No.

Rubber duck races...the kids pumped the water pump to make the ducks go.





Even Sawyer had fun watching the kids play and seeing the animals.


This is a real working farm so they had a bunch of animals...donkeys, turkeys, pigs, goats, cows, horses, chickens, rabbits, dogs. The kids got brave a touched a few of the animals.


I have to say that the donkeys and turkeys were quite loud and a little scary.


They had these slides that landed you in a bin full of corn that were fun.

And a seesaw.

This was the kids favorite "ride". Usually you see little ponies hooked up here, but instead they had tire swings that looked like horses and a rope to pull them around.

There were also 4 corn mazes you could go through. We got to ride the wagon over to the mazes and tried the 2 easier ones. It was quite a bit of walking and some 4-wheeling in the stroller for Sawyer, but we made it through eventually!


Except for those times when Daddy, who was navigating, took us down the wrong way!


We played so long that it was almost dark by the time we got to the pumpkin patch. We did however manage to find some cute little pumpkins.


It was a fun day and we all had a great time at the farm. Ryder keeps asking me if we can go to the pumpkin patch again and the girls are telling me we have to go back again next year. Happy fall!

This is the monster-mask looking thing the girls at the office gave Steve for his birthday. So Michelle, I don't think Steve will be wearing it on his face. It was funny (and gross too) when the girls at the office kept asking Steve if he had gone to the bathroom yet. When he finally saw it, his reaction was he didn't need to go anymore once he saw what was lurking in the toilet.

There's a cookie monster in the house...

I think his name is Ryder, or maybe it is Cookie Monster.

Steve's Birthday...

We celebrated Steve's birthday last Friday with presents and cake. The kids could hardly wait for him to open his presents and see what they wrapped up for him.

He got a new razor, new walkie talkies and the Wipeout Game for wii from Ryder of course!


The Bishop also got a couple of new white shirts and ties and a new suit for Sunday.


We headed out to dinner to try a mexican place which the kids were not too excited about. However, once we got there, they all ate their food! Now Kendyl keeps asking us when we are going to go there again. Yay! New place to eat out!


Cake and icecream and several relighting of the candles, because it wouldn't be a Hardy birthday if we didn't blow out the candles more than once! :)
