We had to get everyone outfitted for the cold...
The kids couldn't wait to get all "geared" up to go outside and play.
Except for poor little Sawyer, who wasn't happy at all.
The mountains got about 4 feet of snow last week, so there was plenty of white stuff to play in.
I think just getting into his snow clothes tired Sawyer out.

It was perfect weather with the sun shining on all the powdery snow.
Brityn couldn't wait to open her gifts from Santa. She was soooo excited to open her Nintendo DS!
Sawyer was very happy to play with all the toys, even if some were not his.
And Santa delivered for Steve....he finally got an iPad!
Santa brought me a new camera, which I can't wait to try out!
Sawyer got a new carseat...too bad he still doesn't weigh enough to turn him around yet.
Ryder was all over opening his presents this year. He was very excited to open up his new "boy" leapster from Santa.
Kendyl was very fortunate this year to get what she wanted from Santa...a real computer.
It was so nice to spend the day playing with the kids and all the new toys. Thank you to Santa and to our families for all the nice gifts!

Ryder got Rex from Toy Story and every time you move his tail he says, "Roar! Were you scared?" I think we'll be sending one to Tanner so Auntie Michelle can see why dinosaurs went extinct! ;)
Sawyer loved his airplane and tow truck and plays with them all the time. Thank you Tanner!

We made cookies and hot chocolate for Santa and then the kids wrote him and Bob thank you letters.
We loved having Bob, our Elf on the Shelf, keep a watchful eye on who was being naughty and nice. Just the reminder that "Bob is watching" helped make our season bright. We look forward to seeing Bob again next year!
This year we hot-glued the pieces together prior to decorating. It was the best idea! No holding the pieces until the frosting hardened or houses that were falling apart.
And the kids LOVED doing their own house!
Sawyer got a snack while Daddy helped him with his house.

Ryder had the most fun re-arranging candy and playing with "Noopy" and "Woody".
The kids love chocolate fondue, so we decided to try a cheese fondue. Little toast triangles, apple slices, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and tortilla chips.
They were all excited to fill their plates with all the little finger foods. Ryder said, "no thank you" to the cheese. Brityn only wanted to dip the chips in the cheese and Kendyl dipped them all.
So, maybe a little success. At least I didn't have to hear whining or complaining or "how many more bites do I have to eat?"
Sawyer LOVED the toast and chewed up the apples and then spit them out.
Personally I really liked it!
