Flipper bowl...

Had the Shadow Creek Flipper Bowl again this year.  Flipper came back for a return appearance!

They had brackets for all ages to play paper football and they also had fun games for the younger kids.

Hiking toilet paper through the hula hoop.  :)

Leightyn was still TERRIFIED of Flipper and would not let me put her down.

Championship round.

Brother Green was the big winner this year!

Music class...

Leightyn and I started a new music class with Ms. Kim--Silver Buttons!  We sure enjoy singing and dancing at music class.

Brityn is a Bucket Filler!

At the kids' school this year, they have an awards ceremony each month to recognize students who are helpful, courteous and kind to others.  They call them Bucket Fillers.  This month Brityn was chosen as a Bucket Filler from her class!

Brityn and Carter Thiriot were both chosen.

Congratulations Brityn!

It is just so hard to sit still and be quiet Mom.  Can we go yet?

So proud of you for being a Bucket Filler!  Way to go Brityn!!!

Buddy the bear...

Ryder's 1st grade class has a bear named Buddy that gets to go home with each of the kids in his class.

Ryder was excited to show Buddy all of the things he does during the week.

Like practicing the piano every morning.

Going to karate.

We had quite the panic when we couldn't find Buddy one night.

He was found safe and sound in Brityn's backpack.  :)

Thanks for spending the week with us Buddy!  Hope you had fun with Ryder!

Random Sunday pics...

Goofball!

Proud honor...

Steve's office always collects Halloween candy to send to troops serving overseas.  We sent a package to a guy in our ward and he came back with a very cool gift for Steve.

Aboard a helicopter flown by Jason Foote in Kandahar, Afghanistan during operations in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.  The Flag of the United States of America flies at the highest pinnacle of our Nation's Capital.  In the waving folds of the Stars and Stripes lies the history of a mighty Nation and its People, in the shadow stand the heroes who make it.

All shall know this Flag was flown in the face of the enemy and bear witness to the strength of the American people in the rebuilding of Afghanistan and denying a safe haven for terrorists.

Thank you Jason Foote for not only an amazing gift but for your selfless service!

Walking buddies...

Since I got a Fitbit for Christmas, I've been trying to get my 10,000 steps a day.  These two are great walking buddies and almost always volunteer to help me get my steps!  We are walking around the YMCA while Brityn is at swim practice.

Sometimes they like to run.

And we often have to take breaks.  ;-)

But they are winners at walking steps with me!
