Last day at Sunset Beach...

The house we stayed at was on Sunset Beach and it was really nice.

Fabulous views from every window!

Three floors of beautiful ocean views.

And 2 relaxing balconies.

And apparently when you have this many stairs, you need an elevator.  It was quite a treat to ride in and we limited all children on elevator rides.  They were constantly begging...

We played lots of Blokus--our new favorite game.  Even Ryder can play by himself.

The sand at Sunset Beach was quite orange.  We found quite a few orange shells too--bet you can guess who was so VERY happy!

Throwing the football.

Flying the kite.

Napping and playing.

They truly did have some spectacular sunsets at Sunset Beach!

Museum of Natural History...

After seeing the space shuttle we walked next door to the Museum of Natural History...because if there are any dinosaurs nearby, Ryder has to see them!

And there were quite a few dinos here!

I was amazed how many of the dinosaurs Ryder recognized and could name.  He was in heaven.

It felt like we were in the movie "Night at the Museum."  They had lots of cool hands-on dino stuff here that the kids loved, impressive for a natural history museum.

California Science Center...

On Thursday we headed over to the California Science Center.  To our pleasant surprise it was FREE!  They house the space shuttle Endeavor here and we did have to pay $2 to see it, but the rest of the place was free.

They have a huge rose garden with all kinds of beautiful roses.

A rock (pebble) from the moon.

There were lots of hands-on exhibits that the kids loved--even Leightyn!

It was pretty cool to see the space shuttle, retired here after 25 missions in space.

An engine, they had 5 on the back of the Endeavor.

There were many cool exhibits here--a fun place to explore!
