Natural History Museum...

One thing I truly miss is living near my family. All of my growing-up years were spent with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins who were always on hand to celebrate every birthday and holiday. If I feel homesick, it is for that. I love my one-and-only sister, and as life turned out, we live in two different states. It is hard to get together, but so much fun when we do. We spent a week taking the kids to do things, catching up, watching movies, going to the temple and just enjoying being together. And the bonus part was, that mom came too, so we all got a chance to just hang out and be together.

The kids were so excited to play with their cousins and I have to say, they all got along really well. The girls were perfect! The two 2-year-old-boy cousins had a few power struggles over toys, but in general, were willing to share.


Ryder is still asking me "Where Tanner go?"





The funniest part about the Natural History Museum, aka the Dinosaur Museum, is that the dinosaurs are quite large animatronics. And the kids are all terrified of them! No one wanted to push the button to hear T-Rex roar and the girls would just run away.


This is the only shot we got with the dinosaurs and the look on Ryder's face tells me he wasn't convinced it was a good idea!

This was a cool exhibit where you could dig in the sand and 'discover' different fossils.


There was also a cool Egyptian section with a King Tut exhibit.





After exploring the museum we stopped at a park and let the kids run around and play.








It was lots of fun.
